Throughout the year, our school hosts a range of exciting inter-house competitions that go beyond sport, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and school spirit.
All pupils belong to one of our four houses: St Anne’s, St Gabriel’s, St Raphael’s, and St Joseph’s. These houses form the foundation of our community and provide opportunities for pupils to work together, celebrate achievements, and develop a sense of belonging.
Inter-house events include:
- Sports challenges such as football, netball, athletics, and swimming.
- Creative competitions like art, music, and drama performances.
House Captains play a vital leadership role in these events. Elected annually by their classmates, they are responsible for:
- Representing their house: Acting as the voice of their team and motivating members to participate.
- Organising and encouraging participation: Helping to ensure every child feels included and has the chance to contribute.
- Leading by example: Demonstrating sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect during all activities.
- Supporting staff: Assisting teachers in preparing for events and helping with scoring or organising equipment.
- Celebrating achievements: Sharing results and congratulating participants during assemblies or house meetings.
The year’s competitions culminate in our end-of-year Sports Day, where House Captains lead their teams with pride, cheering them on and fostering a sense of unity and friendly rivalry. These experiences help pupils develop confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of belonging within their house community.
