 Mrs Redfern is leading the school council this year.

After an election process and persuasive speeches the following pupils have been elected as school councilors:

Samaritan’s Purse- Operation Christmas Child 2016

It was decided that the children from UKS2 would lead these assemblies using the Samaritan’s purse DVD.

The children used up several lunch times preparing themselves.  Two phase assemblies were used to share this important appeal.

School Council November 2016

  • UKS2 Councillors-Meeting with our school cook, Mrs McGann.There will be an opportunity for our children to have greater involvement with the school regarding the children’s menu. The menu could be themed or simply a class choice of a favourite meal.

  • Dan, Trinity, James, Reuben and met with Mrs McGann.Outcome: One day we can pick the school menu.It could be a favourite meal, a healthy meal or theme meal linked to our school curriculum

  • School Councillors 07.11.2016

  • Meet with classes to discuss their favourite meal/ theme.

  • Deadline for the themed meals is Thursday 10th November

  • Dan suggested a tally chart/ frequency table as way of recording menu choice results.

All results are to be given to Reuben by Wednesday.  Final results should be given to the Cook by Thursday at the latest.

In the Spring term of 2017,  LKS2 hope to have a Viking Menu

 

Children in Need 2016– Our school council will lead a bake sale on Monday 21st November 2016, morning during first break to raise funds for Children in Need.

 

School Council Badges Awarded 14.11.2016

During Monday’s assembly our School Councillors were awarded their School Council Badges.  Or year 6 children will received their badges on Friday’s assembly (as they were preparing their Confirmation hymns on Monday).
